My Sophomore year was a huge advancement year academically. My courses ramped up with more honors, and this year also introduced my first AP class. I enrolled in AP Economics which taught me so much about our economy, and how our financial world works. This year included travels to China accompanied by Woodside Priory, and particpating in the school's new jazz band. I also took part in the production of Twilight: Los Angeles 1992. 

Jazz Band 

First Jazz Band in Priory's history! I played piano for the group, and some percussion as well. We performed 4 concert during the 2016-2017 school year, and performed in the lobby before one of the concerts.  

Twilight: Los Angeles 1992

A powerful play which spoke out against the Reginald Denny beating. I played the role of Paul Parker who headed the defense committee, and was a leader in the riots.

My independent pieces for this concert included: Knight Rupert from Schumann and Alla Turca from Mozart. 

China Trip - April 2017

This was an 11 day trip to China with a group of 15 from Woodside Priory. I had a wonderful time on this trip, and the memories and friendships I made on this trip will last for not only the rest of high school, but even after it. We traveled to three cities: Lijiang, Chengdu, and Hong Kong, and each of them were unique in their own way. Meeting the locals and diving in to the culture was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. This was my first time to Asia, and it totally changed my whole perspective our world.
